At the core of any digital signage network is the software that powers it. ActiVia SaaS is a highly optimized, web-accessible solution for powerful digital marketing and merchandising. ActiVia combines state-of-the-art digital media technology with STRATACACHE's patented content delivery engine—the most robust in the industry. With multi-layering features, dynamic data sources and interactive capabilities, ActiVia manages the entire digital signage lifecycle for networks containing up to 250,000 concurrent devices. The advanced centralized management system controls up to tens of thousands of edge media players via a thin software agent with a specially designed communication and control protocol. ActiVia's multi-layering capabilities allow users to present multiple layers of digital media content within digital displays across their entire network.

Creating and managing digital media and content playlists is made easy with ActiVia. Users access a hosted ActiVia server cluster and import digital objects (images, rich video, animated presentations, HTML files, flash demonstrations, text-based messages, etc.) into a secure authenticated content designer/management console. Multi-layered screen layouts can be created for various types of content and, with simple drag-and-drop tools, playlists are generated by selecting digital content and determining the time and duration for each element. With a simple calendar interface, users schedule the date and time for the playlist playout to designated media devices. ActiVia then distributes the content to the devices throughout the network. Each device is continually monitored in case any operational problems occur.
