STRATACACHE CEO to Discuss Technical Challenges of Large-Scale Digital Signage Deployments
March 12, 2008- STRATACACHE announced today that its founder and CEO, Chris Riegel, will lead a session on March 19 at 11:30 a.m. during GlobalShop 2008's Digital Signage Day. STRATACACHE will also showcase its award-winning digital signage software, ActiVia for Media, in booth #3031 during the show..
During the session, titled "Successfully Deploying a Large-Scale Retail Digital Media Network," Riegel will discuss the technical challenges associated with large-scale digital media deployments and what it takes for retailers to be successful in their digital signage initiatives.
An increasing number of major retailers are leveraging digital signage to communicate with their customers at the point of sale, but often experience serious constraints when delivering rich media to highly distributed edge locations. Installing 10 to 20 in-store displays compared to thousands of displays will dramatically change network and software requirements. Riegel will address these issues, covering the planning and conception, approaches, expenses, and the major technical challenges and requirements of a large-scale digital media network implementation.
STRATACACHE was honored with two awards in February during the Digital Signage Expo in Chicago for their role and technology in AT&T's 2007 digital signage rollout.
