Microcaches (defined as inexpensive,high-performance caching appliances designed for the sub-50 user network)were first created by Stratacache to serve remote field offices,retail locations,small sites and other environments where Internet/Intranet application performance is important,but administrators could not justify the cost of an expensive edge solution because of the low number of users on the site.The Dart is the ideal choice for small networks of 10-50 nodes with dedicated Internet or WAN uplinks from 56kb/s to 1Mb/s and moderate Internet and Intranet use.

Dart models are easily configured, deployed, monitored and managed in any IP network environment. With a secure Web administrator or SSH session, unit configuration and deployment is a 15 minute process out of the box. Removable flash modules allow for easy unit replacement and field upgrades. In large deployments, automated unit configuration,update and backup are enabled via the Stratacache eCDN Manager which provides a centralized point for all appliance administrative tasks and appliance monitoring. Ongoing appliance monitoring and management is easily accomplished via the secure Web administrator,SSH,SNMP or eCDN Management Console. The Stratacache Dart is available in four models: the Dart D-10, D-25, D-50, and D-75.
